Abstract: Purpose: Benign acute childhood myositis (BACM) is a self-limited childhood illness, and it is mainly caused by viral infections. Clinical and laboratory alterations usually normalize rapidly; generally, the only medical intervention required is supportive (hydration, analgesic medication).
