Benzo‐γ‐pyrone‐based diorganotin (IV) chelates as fluorescent probes for the detection of picric acid from soil and aqueous samples

Abstract: Four chelates of diorganotin (IV) from benzo-γ-pyrone ligands have been derived and their structural features are investigated. Benzo-γ-pyrone ligands (L 1 -L 2 ) behave as bidentate chelating agents and form [L 2 SnR 2 ] type of chelates (1-4; where L = ligand, R = C 4 H 9 , CH 3 ) with "skew-trapezoidal bipyramidal" arrangement.
