Abstract:The title phthalonitrile derivative, C22H13ClN2O3, contains three aromatic rings, which are not coplanar. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular C—H⋯N contacts.
“…1. The lengths of the two C N triple bonds (Table 1) are consistent with those found in similar compounds (Atalay et al, 2003;Erdem et al, 2004;Ískeleli & Ag ar, 2005). The C-Br bond distance is close to the values reported for 4-(3-bromobenzylideneamino)-3-(4-chlorobenzyl)-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4triazol-5-one .…”
The title phthalonitrile derivative, C17H13BrN2O3, contains two aromatic rings, which are nearly coplanar. The crystal structure is stabilized by C—H⋯O hydrogen‐bond interactions.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
