Abstract:Natural products play a significant role in the development of modern drugs. Alepterolic acid, a labdane‐type diterpenoid firstly isolated from Aleuritopteris argentea (Gmél.) Fée, has been identified as a valuable template for the synthesis of potent anticancer agents by structural modification.
