Abstract:Berberine and palmatine are isoquinoline quaternary alkaloids derived from Chinese medicinal herbs. These alkaloids have shown promising synergy in inhibiting acetylcholinesterase (AChE), indicating their potential in treating Alzheimer's disease (AD).
