Beyond Biblical Literalism and Inerrancy: Conservative Protestants and the Hermeneutic Interpretation of Scripture

Abstract: This study highlights the//mitations associated with sociolo~cal conceptualizations of "biblical literalism" and "biblical inerrancy," and proposes ah alternate theoretical model for illuminating conservative Protestant scriptural interpretaaons.
