Beyond the Misapprehension of Nursing Rituals

Abstract: A renewed understanding of the transformative power of nursing symbols and rituals will allow us to see that they do not oppose, but rather complement, science and professional status. Nursing symbols and rituals must not be discarded. They must be reinvented to convey the values of contemporary professional nursing.
