Abstract:The recently discovered magnetic topological insulator of MnBi2Te4 (MBT), has been demonstrated to realize the quantum anomalous Hall (QAH) effect, while the naturally antiferromagnetic (AFM) interlayer coupling in MBT results in that the QAH effect can only be realized in odd-layered systems and at low temperature. Using first-principles calculations, we find that intercalating Bi2Te3 (BT) layers into MBT by forming MBT/(BT)

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
