Bibliometric and visual analysis of cerebral revascularization from 1999 to 2022

Abstract: BackgroundCerebral revascularization is a neurosurgical procedure used to restore the cerebral collateral circulation channel. This study examines the countries, institutions, authors, journals, keywords, and references related to the disease in the field of cerebral revascularization from 1999 to 2022 from a bibliometrics perspective, evaluates the changes of knowledge structure clustering and identifies the new hot spots and new research directions in this field.MethodsThe Web of Science Core Collection (WOS… Show more

“…The exploration of estrogen signalling as a viable therapeutic strategy for the treatment of AD has emerged as a promising avenue for intervention. The multifaceted effects of estrogen on the brain, including its role in synaptic plasticity, neuroprotection and regulation of amyloid‐beta metabolism, underscore its potential as a promising target for therapeutic intervention (Zhao et al, 2024). The effects of estrogen are facilitated through the activation of ER, specifically ERα and ERβ, which demonstrate extensive distribution throughout the brain.…”

“…The study yielded no discernible impact of estradiol on Aβ levels in PDAPP mice. Cerebral ischemia in some non‐transgenic rats leads to the production of Aβ (Zhao et al, 2024). The implementation of this specific model has exhibited that the administration of estradiol results in a reduction of both APP protein and mRNA levels in menopause rats (Lasoń et al, 2023).…”

“…The warmer colors of the nodes signify later average publication times. [15][16][17][18] It appears that the United States made outstanding contributions in the early research of this field with earlier average publication times, while China has recently published a large number of academic achievements. Additionally, Table 1 lists relevant information of the top 10 countries/regions in terms of publication volume, with the United States (484, 34.35%), China (272, 19.30%), and Germany (174, 12.35%) accounting for 66% of the total publications.…”
