Bibliometric review of emerging technologies in Gas Insulated Substations SF6

Abstract: The gas insulated substations (GIS) are made up of a set of equipment submerged in SF6 gas and a metal enclosure in which all the equipment associated with the substation is located. The GIS are being widely used in the high voltage electrical sector, due to this, developments and a high degree of research corresponding to new trends or emerging technologies that allow advances in this equipment are being presented. for this reason, this report contains a documentary investigation on the subject of isolated ga… Show more

“…Based on the above description and measurements, color‐variable CSF can detect SO 2 selectively. However, the direct application of CSF is limited because the GIS uses a closed structure to maintain the high pressure of SF 6 , making routine inspections difficult 13 . Therefore, a digital real‐time monitoring platform with CSF was designed to detect SO 2 gas in GIS with extremely high precision.…”

“…ITs for gas-insulated switchgears (GISs) consist of voltage transformers (VTs) and a current transformer (CT), and transformer designs suitable for GISs have been employed to measure voltage and current in power systems since 1966 [3,4]. Unlike air-insulated switchgears (AISs), GISs use sulfur hexafluoride (SF 6 ) as an insulating gas, allowing higher insulation performance and compact design.…”
