Abstract: Resumo A pesquisa parte do pressuposto de que as bibliotecas públicas, municipais e estaduais no Brasil, em função de sua condição e de sua missão, devem ser as primeiras a adotarem princípios e práticas de sustentabilidade, com vistas a se constituírem como referências em equipamentos culturais verdes no país.
