Abstract:Background
One of the most common conditions presenting to the oculoplastic clinic is congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction (CNLDO), with an incidence of up to 20% in young children. Early probing as early as 18 months of age is usually associated with very good results. Conversely, the results of probing in older children and the need for intubation, either primary or secondary, are debatable in different studies.
