The coal mine in deep mining can easily form a compound dynamic disaster with the characteristics of rock burst and gas outburst. In this paper, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the entropy weight method (EWM) are combined, and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (FCE) secondary evaluation model of compound dynamic disaster is proposed to evaluate the risk of compound dynamic disaster, which avoids the problems of the imperfect evaluation index system and strong subjectivity of index weight. Based on the statistical analysis of typical compound dynamic disaster cases in China, three first-level indicators were established, and sixteen second-level indicators were developed. The verification results show that the accuracy and weight are better than the traditional evaluation methods. Combined with geological and mining data, the compound dynamic disaster risk assessment was carried out on the second mining area of mine B, in the Pingdingshan mining area, and the result was grade II (weak risk). Corresponding prevention measures and parameters were implemented, and no compound dynamic disaster occurred during the working face excavation.

The complicated and puzzling neuronal structure of human and animal brains is responsible for mental abilities. Concerning a mechanistic understanding of brain activities, the crucial question refers to the properties of a single neuron versus neurons' spatial arrangement and interconnection as a whole. In this paper we adopt the point of view that a significant share of neurons in a being can be modeled by (in our approach complex-valued) dynamical systems based on a manageable number of phase-space dimensions, thus representing a macroscopic overall description of the totality of highly redundant neuronal processes. This agrees with the general theory of interacting many-particle systems that usually undergo a dramatic reduction of complexity in the spirit of the Kolmogorov entropy, due to collective behavior. Then, emergence is understood as a complexity increase in the dynamics under consideration, where the K-entropy characterizes and summarizes the time evolution of many physiological details. Analogies and their limits with respect to the dynamics of selected physical many-particle systems are investigated.

A modification of the classic logistic map is proposed, using fuzzy triangular numbers. The resulting map is analysed through its Lyapunov exponent (LE) and bifurcation diagrams. It shows higher complexity compared to the classic logistic map and showcases phenomena, like antimonotonicity and crisis. The map is then applied to the problem of pseudo random bit generation, using a simple rule to generate the bit sequence. The resulting random bit generator (RBG) successfully passes the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) statistical tests, and it is then successfully applied to the problem of image encryption.
