Now-a-days every organization is moving towards on web based application and cope up lots of data sets. Data may be structured, unstructured or semi-structure. These data need processing, analysis and storage in proper format using innovative techniques and methodologies. Big data parameterized into three basic categories Volume, Variety and Velocity. The social media like Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter, hike. are generating lots of data in a day in the form of textmessages, audio-recording, images, videos etc. The problem which appears is how to manage this huge data in a systematic way because users want quick response on web search or on smart phone access using web apps. In this paper we have studied how big data invoke in different areas like social media, atmosphere, hospitals, research centers etc. We have suggested contributions in big data categories, applications in different area's like in Machine learning, Social Network, Bio-Informatics, Data Mining, and Clouds along with challenges, future scope and storage prospects.

Abstract-Finding new ways to take advantage of big data, small or big organizations need high security techniques end efficient policies to guarantee their systems. In big data, it is very difficult to store data and analyse these data with conventional techniques. It is though that the traditional mechanisms are not efficient on big data security and privacy challenges. Different challenges include Hadoop security, cloud security and monitoring and auditing, etc. Big data deals with different data formats, data collection done from different sources, streaming of data may cause security problems the existing systems led to the violation of the individual privacy control. Data should be shared in a secure environment without violating people's privacy to overcome such complex issues, it is necessary to implement some set of rules and regulations in performing data sharing, authentication process, in generating personal information, and misusing of the system. With respect to these problems, proposed system introduced some mechanism challenging security and privacy issues for both user and application oriented.

The sucesssive growth of collabrative applications producing Bigdata on timeline leads new opprutinity to setup commodities on cloud infrastructure. Mnay organizations will have demand of an efficient data storage mechanism and also the efficient data analysis. The Big Data (BD) also faces some of the security issues for the important data or information which is shared or transferred over the cloud. These issues include the tampering, losing control over the data, etc. This survey work offers some of the interesting, important aspects of big data including the high security and privacy issue. In this, the survey of existing research works for the preservation of privacy and security mechanism and also the existing tools for it are stated. The discussions for upcoming tools which are needed to be focused on performance improvement are discussed. With the survey analysis, a research gap is illustrated, and a future research idea is presented
