Bilateral pulmonary embolism after arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: A case report

Abstract: HighlightsACL reconstruction is a common and safe procedure; however, complications of VTE can occur.An adult man with no risk factors developed PE after arthroscopic ACL reconstruction.Clinical pulmonary embolism was confirmed one-week post-surgery radiologically.No guidelines are available on prophylactic anticoagulation for arthroscopic ACL reconstruction.This report will increase the awareness of serious complications after ACL reconstruction.
