Abstract:Spermatocele is cystic dilatation of epididymis. These cysts are usually located outside of the tunica vaginalis and show transillumination as hydrocele. They are detected during a scrotal ultrasound incidentally. Although the etiology of most spermatoceles is idiopathic, trauma, infection or inflammatory process may lead to the development of spermatocele.
