Abstract

<jats:p>The formation of amino acid precursors through the action of ammonium cyanide on formaldehyde and acetaldehyde absorbed in the cages of zeolithe X has been demonstrated. The significance of this reaction as a model for the prebiological syntheses of amino acids in space is discussed</jats:p>
