Bile Duct Double Ligation and Microdialysis in Rats: An Animal Model of Liver Fibrosis

Abstract: Liver fibrosis is based on complex interactions between extracellular matrix-producing hepatic stellate cells and is defined as excessive matrix deposition and an abundance of infiltrating cells in the liver. Studying these processes requires in vitro and in vivo experimental work on animals.
