Binary Amplitude Hologram Generation for Digital Micromirror Device-Based Holographic Displays

Abstract:We compare several binary amplitude hologram generation methods used in holographic displays based on digital micromirror devices. We demonstrate that a combination of gradient descent, subsampling, and time multiplexing offers improved performance over conventional approaches.
