Binding Lifetime Based Signaling Cost Analysis of Multilayer MIPv6

Abstract: An unbridled exchange of binding update messages have been observed in Mobile IP even for an infrequent movement of a mobile node. This not only makes the mobile node energy inefficient but also increases the signaling overhead.
