Bioactive glass in the treatment of an infrabony defect in a dog

Abstract: This article describes a graft‐only approach to regenerate periodontal structures in a vertical infrabony defect around the mesial root of the mandibular second molar tooth of a dog. Bioactive glass material was used to fill this defect without coverage of a membrane. The grafted area was examined using periodontal probing and an intraoral radiograph 6 months after the procedure.
