Abstract: Lebende Organismen kbnnen sich nur entwickeln und erhalten, solange eine wirksame Kommunikation zwischen ihren Einzelkomponentenden Zellenbesteht. Diese interzellullre Kommunikation ist hauptsachlich chemischer Natur: Sie benutzt als Botenstoffe Neurotransmitter und Hormone und als Signalempfanger Rezeptoren.
