Purpose of the study: This study sought to establish the possible financial or economic benefits that could be derived from the Silk Road Economic Belt project. Emphasis was laid on the perceptions of citizens of the nations of Afghanistan and China on how the project will impact them as a nation, organizations, and individuals.
Methodology:The study took a mixed approach with the main focus being on a qualitative approach with some aspect of quantitative analysis.Results: It was found that the respondents perceived the project to be of great importance that would have financial impacts on both Afghanistan and China, with conditions of good governance being prominent.
