Our data support the idea that developmental analysis of the spontaneous EEG is of physiological significance (Parmalee et al 1968, Clancy et al 1985, Bentele et al 1988, Biagioni et al 1994, 1996, 1999, Ferrari et al 1992, Cornwell et al 1993, 1998, Scher et al 1994b, 1995a, b, Breidbach et al 1998. As these physiological data are easily accessable and can be obtained directly from registration of physiological properties of the individual that has to be classified, the EEG method, furthermore, has practical advantages: It is easy to handle, can be performed in clinical routine and allows quantification of risk phenomena.…”
