Biofunctionalization of biomaterials for nitric oxide delivery: potential applications in regenerative medicine

Abstract: Introduction: Mimicking physiological functions of nitric oxide (NO) has applications in regenerative medicine. However, few NO delivery systems have progressed to clinical trials owing to limitations in delivery.
