Bioinformatics analysis of mRNA profiles and identification of microRNA-mRNA network in CD4+ T cells in seasonal allergic rhinitis

Abstract: Objective We aimed to discover potential circulating genes and non-coding molecules (micro RNA [miRNA] and circular RNA [circRNA]) in CD4+ T cells in relation to seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR). Methods Microarray data of GSE50223 were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus database. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) during and outside the pollen season were analyzed using R software and by Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathway analyses. The protein–protein interactions… Show more

“…In systemic lupus erythematosus, the inhibition of miR-142-5p led to CD4 + T-cell activation [22]. In addition, the downregulation of hsa-miR-29b-3p is associated with IFN-γ production and enhanced inflammation in seasonal allergic rhinitis [23]. Our observation of the upregulation of hsa-miR-29b-3p in G-MDSC-exos-treated mice is in agreement with its suppressive property of inflammation.…”

“…The etiology and pathogenesis of AD are very complex, including genetic, immune, and environmental factors. Many studies suggested that the pathogenesis of AD is correlated with the abnormal activation of varieties of immune cells, cytokines, and signaling pathways (4)(5)(6). In addition, environmental factors such as allergens, microbial infection, irritant substances, and climate change may also contribute to the pathogenesis of AD.…”
