“…The XRD patterns of the HNT-DMA and HNT-DMA-PPy@Ag nanocomposites are shown in Figure 5 b. One can note the presence of reflection peak situated at 11.9°, corresponding to the basal distance of the HNT clay d(001), moreover the presence of diffraction peaks at 19.9°, 24.5°, 35.1°, 38.3°, 54.6°, and 62.4° which confirm that the crystalline structure of HNT clay is well maintained in all samples [ 29 ], after pretreatment and upon photopolymerization ( Figure 5 b) The presence of diffraction peaks at 38.2°, 44.4°, 64.4°, and 77.39° are corresponding to the (111), (200), (220), and (311) diffraction planes of Ag, respectively [ 30 ]. These patterns confirm metallic nature of Ag nanoparticles, resulted upon the photopolymerization of Py in the presence of AgNO 3 [ 11 ], The AgNPs average size was equal 82 nm, the latter was estimated from the full width half maximum (FWHM) of the highest intensity (111) peak of Ag.…”

“…Finally, colloidal suspension of the El Ag NPs was centrifuged at 8000 rpm in Remi R-247M rotor for 30 min to remove impurities [30,31]. The pellet was re-suspended in sterile distilled water, and the previous step was repeated to wash the synthesized El Ag NPs [32,33] for several times.…”

“…Plant extracts consist a variety of organic c o m p o u n d s . D u r i n g t h e s y n t h e s i s o f s i l v e r nanoparticles, these compounds act as capping and reducing agents [33]. This change could be recorded by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis).…”

“…During the latter years of the 1960s, scientists dedicated to miniaturized delivery systems introduced nanoparticle-based drug delivery systems and vaccines [1]. Since that application of nanoparticulates into medicine, the use of nanomaterials has yielded great advances in the diagnosis and treatment of numerous pathologies [2,3]. Cerium belongs to a class of lanthanide metals in the periodic table [4].…”
