Abstract: Bleeding after venipuncture could cause blood loss, hematoma, bruising, hemorrhagic shock, and even death. Herein, a hemostatic needle with antibacterial property is developed via coating of biologically derived carboxymethyl chitosan (CMCS) and Cirsium setosum extract (CsE).
