“…Previously, limited fecundity data were available for T. mediterraneus in the Mediterranean basin. Pora (1979) reported batch fecundity values between 2369 and 46,200 eggs for fish ranging from 11.8–19.5 cm fork length caught in the Black Sea. We found batch fecundity to be 1058–28116 eggs for fish ranging in total length from 13.5 cm to 19.4 cm that refers to an almost similar size-range but lower fecundity compared to that study.…”
