Abstract:Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a common Gram-negative bacterium that can be found in many different environments. It is also an opportunistic human pathogen and the most common cause of lung infections in cystic fibrosis patients. P. aeruginosa infections are very challenging to treat as this bacterium displays high intrinsic resistance to a wide range of antibiotics.
