Abstract:A new technology has been currently developed for the removal of heavy metal waste in water, called biosorption. Biosorption technology has been widely used to remove heavy metals from liquid waste. The potential biomass which can be used as bio sorbent was activated coconut husk waste. By using the continuous flow method and activated coconut husk as bio sorbent, the obtained optimum flow rate and bed height of bio sorbent were 2 mL/min and 0.1 g with adsorption capacity of 188.322 mg/g.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
