Abstract: Biosurfactants produced by microorganisms are green amphiphilic biomolecules. They have numerous advantages compared to chemical surfactants including a lower toxicity, better environmental compatibility and effective and stable properties under extreme conditions such as a wide range of temperature, pH and salinity.
