Bir Çizgi Filmin Popüler Kültür Açısından İncelenmesi: Rafadan Tayfa

Abstract

Popular culture being one of the subsystems of culture is widely used to in the sense of acclaimed or consumed. Popular culture is a production area which is continuously changing, self-renewing and the courses it interflows cannot be recognized due to its speed. TV is the most important popular culture producer and conveyor. TV has a great importance in building a child's intellectual world and culture. Therefore, this study aimed to reveal the popular culture elements in the cartoon; Rafadan Tayfa. The study was conducted in a sample composed of 13 episodes each of which included at least six popular culture elements. The study was designed using qualitative research method, and case study design was incorporated. In this study in which document analysis technique was used, content analysis and semiotic analysis were conducted. At the end of the analyses, the cartoon was determined to take place in eighties as well as contained many popular culture elements.Recently, culture transfer which was fulfilled by folk tales in old times has been carried out by cartoons. In this respect, since determining the popular culture elements in cartoons is unique in this field, it is considered that this study will contribute a great deal to the field.
