Bis[2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-1H-benzimidazol-3-ium] chloranilate

Abstract: In the crystal of the title molecular salt {systematic name: bis[2-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-1H-benzimidazol-3-ium] 2,5-dichloro-3,6-dioxocyclohexa-1,4-diene-1,4-diolate}, 2C13H11N2O+·C6Cl2O4 2−, the chloranilate anion is located on an inversion centre, so that the asymmetric unit contains one cation and one half of the chloranilate anion.
