The coral reefs structure and composition are influenced by environmental condition and depth. Therefore, this study was conducted to find and examine the influence of site and depth on coral reef structures in Pramuka Island regions, Seribu Islands, located in the northern of Jakarta. The study was carried out from November to December 2016. The data was taken by Line Intercept Transect Method which is laid 20 meters x 3 replicated parallels with shoreline at the depth of 3 and 10 meters. The hard coral at the depth of 3 m within both study sites in Pramuka island held higher percent cover than the depth of 10 m except in North of Pramuka. Coral mortality index varied and ranged from 0.39 to 0.98. West of Pramuka Island dominant hasthe lowest value of mean number of families, genera, and life form. Percentage of hard coral cover, coral mortality index, mean numberof family, genera, and life form differed significantly between sites. The different of depth only affecting the percentage of coral cover and mean number of life form. Corals have a limiting factor which are affected their development and growth.

Coral reef is an important underwater ecosystem that is rich in biodiversity in it. Coral growth has decreased drastically due to physical and chemical threats, such as the effect of warming seawater, fish bombing activities, and the effects of wastewater. The efficiency level of coral transplantation is determined by many factors, including the stability of the environment's physical condition, the level of coral diversity, and the method of transplantation. The influence of the planting medium can also be a key factor in succeeding the coral transplantation process. The use of stable and natural growing media can be a solution to replace conventional growing media that have been used. Zeolite material is a medium that has many advantages such as amending the trace elemental contents of saltwater such as carbon absorbents, detoxifiers, ammonia remover, catalysts, promoting marine micro-algal growth, become a media for bacterial growth, etc. This review discusses the possibility of zeolites as the candidate media that can be used as a new medium in coral transplantation process to accelerate coral growth and maintain coral health by increasing the adaptation of corals to the effects of global climate change.

Conservation is one the way for resource management of vulnerable natural resources. Nature Conservation Forum Putri Menjangan is a group of people who have an interest in the management of natural resources, especially on mangrove ecosystems and coral reef ecosystems, in addition to conservation activities is also carried out data collection species start from mangrove, coral reef, reef fishes and other organisms that live in Putri Menjangan waters. Mangrove forest conservation is done through reforestation in areas which have a low mangrove cover, whereas for coral reef conservation activities carried out through coral transplantation and garbage clean up activity in coral reef ecosystems both of trash and competitor organism found on coral reef ecosystems.Keywords: community based management, mangrove, coral reef ABSTRAK Konservasi merupakan salah satu bentuk pengelolaan sumberdaya alam yang telah mengalami kerusakan. Terdapat berbagai macam jenis pengelolaan kawasan salah satu jenis pengelolaan itu adalah pengelolaan berbasis masyarakat atau Community Based Management. Nature Conservation Forum Putri menjangan merupakan kelompok masyarakat yang memiliki ketertarikan dalam pengelolaan kelestarian alam khusunya pada ekosistem mangrove dan ekosistem terumbu karang. Kegiatan konservasi hutan mangrove dilakukan dengan cara reboisasi atau penanaman mangrove di daerah yang memiliki tutupan mangrove yang rendah, sedangkan untuk konservasi terumbu karang dilakukan melalui kegiatan transplantasi terumbu karang dan kegiatan clean up di kawasan ekosistem terumbu karang baik dari sampah maupun biota-biota kompetitor yang terdapat pada ekosistem terumbu karang.Kata kunci: manajemen berbasis masyarakat, mangrove, terumbu karang PENDAHULUAN Konservasi sumber daya hayati laut merupakan salah satu bentuk pemulihan ekosistem yang telah mengalami kerusakan. Kerusakan yang terjadi biasanya diakibatkan oleh pemanfaatan sumber daya alam yang tidak terkendali, selain itu sistem pengelolaan yang kurang maksimal juga merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat menyebabkan terjadinya kerusakan (Damanik et al., 2006).Organisasi Nature Conservation Forum Putri Menjangan (NCF Putri Menjangan) merupakan suatu organisasi yang terbentuk dari sekumpulan warga atau individu yang berasal dari beberapa komunitas lingkungan kelautan yang memiliki ketertarikan dalam bidang pengembangan dan pelestarian potensi hutan mangrove dan sumberdaya kelautan dalam bentuk pengelolaan dan pemanfaatan lingkungan yang berkesinambungan dengan dasar kelestarian lingkungan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat sekitar (NCF Putri Menjangan, 2016).
