Bispectral Index Monitoring in the Intensive Care Unit Provides More Signal Than Noise

Abstract: The bispectral index (BIS) is processed electroencephalographic technology used in concert with clinical evaluations to objectively evaluate a patient's level of consciousness and probability of recall.
