Black and Latino Adolescents’ Self-Regulation: Placing College Preparedness in Context

Abstract: Students from minoritized backgrounds, who disproportionately face higher poverty rates, are more likely to encounter risk factors, which tend to undermine individuals’ broader well-being by compromising self-regulatory processes.
