Lichen planopilaris (LPP) is a primary cicatricial alopecia characterized by perifollicular erythema and scale with irreversible bulge destruction. 1 There is currently a lack of population-based studies describing the prevalence of LPP, with only an estimate documented by a single-center study. 2 We aimed to estimate LPP prevalence in the United States using the All of Us (AoU)Research Program, an initiative by the National Institutes of Health dedicated to enrolling diverse and underrepresented populations in biomedical research.
