The COVID-19 crisis disrupted traditional in-school teaching, highlighting both the potential and challenges of distance learning. The abrupt transition exposed the unpreparedness of many teachers and students, emphasizing the need for alternative, technology-supported methodologies. This chapter investigates blended education as an innovative approach integrating classroom and online learning to enhance teaching effectiveness. Through a theoretical examination of blended education and a survey of middle school teachers in Albania, this study evaluates teachers' familiarity with and use of blended learning methods. Data collected from 212 educational stakeholders provide insights into the current state of ICT-supported teaching in Albania. The findings suggest that, while blended learning holds promise for improving educational outcomes, Albanian teachers require further training, and substantial upgrades in ICT infrastructure are necessary to implement this approach in schools fully.
