Purpose This paper aims to investigate the relationship between entrepreneurial motivation and pharmapreneurial intention among pharmacists in Jordan.The authors also assessed the moderating effect of gender and the COVID-19 pandemic on the relationship between these two variables. Design/methodology/approach This study is a quantitative study targeting pharmacists and using a nonprobability sample. A structured questionnaire was distributed through official channels to the entire population of registered pharmacists in Jordan. SmartPLS 3 was used for carrying an advanced structural equation model analysis, and SPSS 26 for the descriptive statistics. Findings The three entrepreneurial motivation variables (behavioral control [BC], risk tolerance and desirability of self-employment) affected pharmapreneurial intention, with BC contributing more to pharmapreneurial intention among pharmacists in Jordan than the other variables examined. On the other hand, gender and COVID-19 did not moderate this relationship. Research limitations/implications The authors find that entrepreneurial motivation affects pharmapreneurial intention. Consequently, the authors provide insights to policymakers and educators regarding dovetailing the recent financial literacy programs implemented in Jordanian schools with medical education in Jordan to better motivate the formation of pharmapreneurial intention. Practical implications Policymakers and educators should be dovetailing the recent financial literacy programs implemented in Jordanian schools with medical education in Jordan to better motivate the formation of pharmapreneurial intention. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first study to examine pharmapreneurship in Jordan.

Background: Hybrid learning combines traditional face-to-face instruction with online or digital learning components and has gained significant popularity in recent years. Objective: This study aimed to assess the satisfaction of hybrid learning among undergraduate health science students and identify the factors associated with the satisfaction level, providing further insights into improvements in hybrid learning adoption to make effective use of the learning approach. Methods: An online survey was distributed to the undergraduate health science students at Taylor’s University in Malaysia. Students’ satisfaction and the associated factors were assessed using a 5-point Likert scale using Pearson Chi-square and logistic regression analysis test where p-value < 0.05 is considered statistically significant. Results: More than half of the students (66.7%) in this study expressed positive satisfaction towards hybrid learning. Internet connection was determined as one of the students' satisfaction-related factors (p=xx). Multivariate binary logistics regression demonstrated that course structure, perceived ease of use, student-instructor interaction and students’ attitude toward hybrid learning had a statistically significant impact on students’ satisfaction with the hybrid learning approach. Conclusion: Students' satisfaction is valuable input for institutions and instructors to enhance the quality of hybrid learning in the future to optimise students' learning experience.

Hybrid learning implementation is closely related with technology. In designing hybrid lessons, lecturers need to have both the pedagogical and content-related skills that make the best use of technology so that it also improves the students’ skills, including their computational thinking skills. The purpose of this research is to examine whether a hybrid learning model based on Technology Pedagogy and Content Knowledge (TPACK) affects the computational thinking skills achievement in a valid, practical, and effective manner. This research is development research using the Plomp’s model and is described in a qualitative descriptive manner. The participants were lecturers and 38 first-year students at Primary School Teacher Education Study Program of Padang State University. The instruments were validation sheets, practicality assessment sheets by lecturers, questionnaire sheets for students, and computational thinking skills test questions. The results of the validity test show that in terms of content, language, and e-learning practice, they all met very valid criteria with an average percentage score of 85.9%, 86.2%, and 84.1%, respectively. The practicality test results of model handbooks, Semester Lesson Plans, Lecture Program Units, computational thinking questions, additional material, and e-learning model meet the practical criteria with an average percentage score of 77.5%, 86.8%, 89.1%, 83.8%, 79%, and 82.4%, respectively. The average percentage of student assessment scores is 82.9% and meets the practical criteria. The results of the effectiveness test showed that 21.9% of students had reached the moderate level, 6.3% reached the low level, and 71.9% reached the very low level. This study recommends future researchers to develop a hybrid learning model based on TPACK to achieve other 21st-century abilities.
