Blended Learning in Teaching EFL to Different Age Groups

The specificity of modern higher education is the organization of the learning process, as close as possible to the real professional conditions of future graduates, which is based on the actual achievements of science and practice, including various pedagogical technologies. The paper presents gaming technologies as one of the most effective in the process of organizing successful training of students in higher education. The purpose of the article is to consider the possibilities of formation of competencies of future teachers of vocational training. The paper presents the experience of the implementation of game technologies of training of students of higher educational institutions in the field of training "Vocational training (by industry)". The requirements for conducting business games taking into account the specifics of "Labor law" and "Civil law" are disclosed. The structure of games in these disciplines, as well as the functions and process of use, the criteria for assessing the activities of students in the implementation of business games. The use of business games as one of the components of gaming technologies allows improving the process of formation of competencies of future teachers of vocational training

Methodological Support Improvement as Condition for Students' Competences Development

Methodical support is an integral part of educational process. Under the conditions of reforming Russian educational system, its updating becomes an objective necessity. Teachers’ methodological activity as a whole acquires new features and needs improvement which is of particular interest to researchers, thus actualizing the need to consider this issue. In this article the authors reveal the essence of teachers’ methodological activities considering importance of this process both for teachers and for students. Since methodological activity in educational framework acquires new meaning, additional development in this area is required to form methodological support at a high level. Therefore, the purpose of the article is to improve methodological support to perfect students' competencies development. The authors proposed updated methodological support in the courses of general professional cycle. To test effectiveness of the proposed development the authors conducted a study. Improvement of methodological support in the framework of updated educational process contributed to improvement of students' competencies development. The obtained results confirmed effectiveness of updated methodological support in the courses of general professional cycle.

Information Competence of a Teacher of Higher Education as an Important Component of Modern Educational Process

Today, there are qualitative changes in Russian education, primarily due to a large-scale process of reforming and informatization of society. Introduction and use of information and communication technologies greatly simplify any processes and create conditions for improving the quality of life in general. Modern information and communication technologies acquire features of an important resource of technological development in educational process of Russian higher education. Socio-pedagogical significance of the topic under study is determined by the solution of an important state task —training of competent specialists, in particular, presence of a key vector in the development of information competence of a higher school teacher, and insufficient solution to the problem of a teacher’s information competence development in modern conditions. The purpose of the work is to develop a program of professional development for teachers to increase their level of information competence. The phenomenon of information competence of a technical higher education teacher acquires extraordinary relevance for pedagogical theory and practice, which is due to modern educational trends related to the need to implement tasks of preparing a modern teacher in terms of informatization of education. The teacher should be capable of carrying out professional pedagogical activity productively. The authors developed a model for information competence development of a higher educational institution teacher, as well as a program based on it. The authors have carried out the experiment proving the increase in the level of information competence of teachers after the program introduction. This advanced training program may be used in future for all high school teachers
