Blood gene transcript signature profiling in pregnancies resulting in preterm birth: A systematic review

Abstract: Highlights Globally, 10 % of birth are preterm and these are the leading cause of under 5-year mortality and disproportionally affect low-resource settings. Gene expression profiling in maternal blood samples obtained during pregnancy has a high potential to identify pregnant women at risk of preterm birth.
