Blood Grouping

Abstract: The use of blood groups and protein polymorphisms to identify possible sources of human stains left at the scene of a crime revolutionised forensic science in the last part of the twentieth century. Their use declined with the development of DNA typing but they remain useful systems that can be more readily analysed today with molecular techniques.
