Blunted leading edge fan blade for noise reduction

Abstract: This patent describes a nonradial blade and vane configuration for axial flow turbomachinery. It is claimed that this configuration reduces the wake interaction between the blades and the vanes and thus reduces the noise. A mechanism is described to adjust the de-gree of bending of the vane sections.-JBG 3,883,268 43.50. Gf BLUNTED LEADING EDGE FAN BLADE FOR NOISE REDUCTION
