Body Mass Index and Dental Caries: A Systematic Review

Abstract: IntroductionThis review was undertaken to analyze the relationship between body mass index (BMI) and dental caries with the available literature evidence.Materials and methodsThe articles were searched from Medline/PubMed and Journal of Web published between 2005 and 2016.ResultsOut of the 146 references obtained, 16 articles in English language were read in full, which fulfilled the inclusion criteria after assessing by Down and Black criteria.ConclusionNo consensus was reached in the relationship between BMI… Show more
