Abstract: Boerhaave's syndrome (BS) is a non-iatrogenic spontaneous esophageal perforation that, if not appropriately recognized and managed, can cause localized infections such as mediastinitis, pneumonia, and empyema, as well as systemic infections with significant morbidity and mortality rates.
