Abstract:Elaborating the specific reactive oxygen species (ROS) involved in the photocatalytic degradation of atrazine (ATZ) is of great significance for elucidating the underlying mechanism. This study provided conclusive evidence that hydroxyl radicals (•OH) were the primary ROS responsible for the efficient photocatalytic degradation of ATZ, thereby questioning the reliability of widely adopted radical quenching techniques in discerning authentic ROS species. As an illustration, oxygenmodified g-C 3 N 4 (OCN) was pr… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
