“…This process of subjective change can be observed in a clinical case in which the patient shows an experience of dissociation (or vulnerability of the self) that can be integrated as the psychotherapy unfolds. The discourse of a patient diagnosed with borderline personality disorder (BPD) can express relevant vulnerabilities of the self: dissociative states (Laddis et al., 2017), affective instability (Richetin et al., 2017), underlying traumatic experiences (Schiltz & Schiltz, 2016), insecure attachment‐based interactions (Clarkin & De Panfilis, 2013) and, likewise, the improvement in these aspects as the psychotherapy reaches its goals (Osatuke & Stiles, 2006). Therefore, the clinical case of a patient diagnosed with a BPD has been chosen for this study.…”
