Botulinum toxin B in the treatment of craniofacial hyperhidrosis

Abstract: In this prospective, uncontrolled study Btx B seems to be both a safe and effective treatment in craniofacial hyperhidrosis improving quality of life and reducing extreme sweating.

“…Our experience is that many women with postmenopausal hyperhidrosis are incorrectly considered to have VMS, and receive treatments including estrogen substitution, selective serotonin/noradrenalin reuptake inhibitors and acupuncture.
