Bounds onZfrom 3-3-1 model at the LHC energies

Abstract: The Large Hadron Collider will restart with higher energy and luminosity in 2015. This achievement opens the possibility of discovering new phenomena hardly described by the Standard Model, which is based on the following two neutral gauge bosons: the photon and the Z. This perspective imposes a deep and systematic study of models that predicts the existence of new neutral gauge bosons. One such model is based on the gauge group SUð3Þ C Â SUð3Þ L Â Uð1Þ N , called the 3-3-1 model for short. In this paper we pe… Show more

“…The bounds on the symmetry breaking scale are weaker in this case, though. Since existent limits from LHC physics on the ' Z mass (Coutinho et al, 2010) TeV . It is worth to be mentioned that this result truly complements previous results on ' Z mass (Coutinho et al, 2010) and shows the importance of CDM approach to electroweak precision phenomenology.…”

“…The data used in the exclusion curves were obtained using. Figure extracted from (Mizukoshi et al, 2011) Observe that these constraints are an important outcome concerning this 331LHN model, since the bounds on MZ ' obtained in (Coutinho et al, 2010) do not apply in the case m N ≤ M Z ' /2, where the main Z ' decay channel into charged leptons is suppressed due to this preferred invisible channel into two WIMPs. It is another complementary connection from dark matter that should be taken into account in the specific case where the heavy neutral fermion is the CDM candidate in 331LHN .…”

“…Apart from some works considering the Higgs phenomenology (Alves et al, 2011), we have constraint on the Z0 mass being abobe 2TeV (Coutinho et al, 2013) and some phenomenological aspects considering charged scalar production (Cogollo et al, 2014).…”

“…Constraints from the heavy neutral Z of the model predict that this scale is of the order of the TeV scale [46]. Combining with the conditions of the minimum of the scalar potential, it can be deduced that both B/μ-terms and soft parameters should be of the same order, the electroweak O(m 2 W ) or the SU(3) L scale.…”
